| Protea Hotel Tsitsikamma Village South Africa - Characteristics and Facilities |
Cafe Bacchus: A Victorian Tea Garden where visitors can enjoy food and drinks at a leisurely pace. Here, GUESTS can escape from the rat race, stress and mechanical mindedness of the times in the leisurely atmostphere of the hotel and gardens.
Cafe Bacchus specializes in a variety of mouth-watering cakes, including freshly baked cheese, carrot or chocolate cakes. It is not unusual to find travellers that turn off from the N2 into Storms River Village to enjoy our delicious light lunches. Visitors are spoiled with a choice of sandwiches, snacks, salad rolls or traditional South African home cooked meals. All this in a beautiful garden setting with a magical fountain in the middle, complimented by an enchanting statue of the delightful Bacchus himself.
De Oude Martha Restaurant: Martha was a child of the Tsitsikamma. She was born on the 6th of February 1942 on the farm Doriskraal. As a child she learned the secret of cooking good, traditional South African Food from her mother, Mary-Jane, who herself was a natural cook. Today, the Inn still remains loyal to the legacy Martha Makwela left and continues in the tradition of good, home cooked food.
Hunter's Inn Pub: The preferred watering hole for most locals in the Tsitsikamma area, the warmth of an antique fireplace is only matched by the equally warm smile of the Head Barman, John Matroos, that will make you feel at home almost immediately.
Tzitzikamma Conference Centre: Imagine a conference breakaway where old traditions of warmth and hospitality thrive side-by side with all the wonders of modern technology. Our conference centre has it all, as well as state-of-the-art equipment. |
