Royal Suites at the Halcyon Castle
The imposing Halcyon Castle, the summer retreat of the former Maharajas of Travancore, stands isolated from the other buildings of the beach paradise in its own grove of palms. The four royal suites in the castle are in the category of the most luxurious accommodation available in the handful of five star hotels in the entire state. Situated on an elevated ground and facing the calm blue waters, each suite resembles a villa with all modern facilities. The first two suites are on the ground floor and the remaining two on the first floor of the castle. Suites 1 & 4 have 79 square metres each of floor space, whilst Suites 2 & 3 each have 74 square metres. Facing the Arabian Sea, guests can witness the panoramic view of the sunset from the first floor balcony of the Castle. The full granite structured castle features original Italian floor tiles, antique finish furniture, king size bed, air-conditioning, luxurious bathroom, pantry, branded toiletries, bathrobe and slippers, refrigerator and T.V. with cable channels.
Grove Chalets
Grove Chalets is a cluster of 42 seaside cottages hugging the shoreline, creating a village like ambience. A Grove Cottage is a beautiful experience - take few steps forwards, you reach the beach. And few steps backwards and you are at the swimming pool. The entrance to the Cottages resembles the entry to the traditional Kerala Wooden Houses of 18th Century with open bathroom concept. This open bathroom has bathtubs and Sundeck chairs.
